Sale of Goods and Consumer Credit, 5th Edn., (Indian Economy Reprint)

By Dobson Paul

Professor Dobson has brought together two associated areas of law into one unique, and easily accessible volume. Sales of Goods and Consumer Credit, now in its fifth edition, continues to provide a clear explanation of the law for students of commercial law and consumer law, as well as non-specialist practitioners.

The law regulating sale of goods has been subject to numerous legislative changes, including: * Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, on the rights of rejection in contracts for the sale and supply of goods * Sale of Goods (Amendment) Act 1995, which gives the buyer a property right in an indentified, but undivided, bulk where he has agreed to buy a specified quantity of the bulk * Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1994, which implement the EC Directive in this area

Whilst the legislative framework for consumer credit remains the same, there have been significant developments in the case law, including Southern & District Finance Plc v. Barnes (1995) which deals with the proper powers and approach of the courts in dealing with an application for a time order.

Paul Dobson is Professor of Law at Thames Valley University. He has published widely in this area and is editor of Charlesworth\'s Business Law, also published by Sweet & Maxwell.
