This is the fourth edition of the book originally published in a miniature form in the year 1979 as \"Law & Banking\" and in the year 1988, under its current name.

This edition is an attempt to answer all legal questions relating to the theory and practice of banking from the point of view of a layman as well as a scholar. A serious effort has been made to provide solutions to all types of problems concerning banking in a comparative manner.
